Peptides Benefits

Daily Beauty: Nourish your skin, nourish your soul.

Peptides treatments are a hot topic in skin care right now, but what exactly are they and how can they help you?

What are Peptides?

Peptides are amino acids, the building blocks of protein. In this sense, they're like proteins that your body has already made. The difference is that peptides are smaller than regular proteins, which means they can penetrate deeper into the skin and work on deeper layers than regular topical products do.

How can they help my skin?

Peptides benefits are one of the most beneficial compounds naturally present in your skin. They help to rebuild the collagen and elastin, which is responsible for keeping your skin firm and elastic. Essentially, they can turn back the clock and age your skin back by rebuilding the elastin bonds in your skin!

Left alone, your skin starts to lose 1% of its natural peptides each year after you turn 30. The good news is that they can be replenished and even strengthened with a high-quality skincare routine!

Peptide treatment has also been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by increasing blood flow to the surface of the skin. The result is a more plump, youthful appearance with fewer wrinkles or creases.

Why are there different types listed on my serum?

You might notice that there are different types of peptides listed on ingredient labels. They are all good, but let's look at the differences between them so you can choose the best one for your skin's unique needs.

Signal Peptides: These peptides go to work stimulating the body to rebuild collagen and elastin, revealing tighter, smoother skin over time.

Carrier Peptides: These peptides are formulated for wound healing, and can help repair damage caused by environmental stress and acne scarring.

How do I use Peptides correctly?

Peptides are effective on their own, but they become even more powerful when combined with antioxidants, Vitamins C and A, and Hyaluronic Acid. Any of these ingredients pair with the peptides to boost the benefits of each one, with very little chance of negative reactions.

When choosing a serum with peptides, look for them near the top of the ingredients list. They can be found in every skincare product, including cleansers and moisturizers, but the highest concentration of peptides is normally found in a dedicated serum or spray.

What else should I know about Peptides?

Peptides are naturally occurring, but formulating them to help with specific skincare concerns is an exciting new category

When you start a routine using Peptides, remember that they are not an instant solution. It takes time and consistent use to rebuild the collagen bonds. With regular use, you will start to see smoother, more radiant skin within a month or so, and the results will only get better from there.

They're great for helping with fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and tone, but there's no reason why you can't use them even if you don't have any concerns in those areas. After all, prevention is easier than correction!

If you are looking for a good place to start, try our Peptide Spray. This lightweight spray absorbs quickly into your skin with a powerful shot of Peptides and other skin-loving ingredients.
